The day of the mission Barry was at the shop early in the morning. Lee was mopping the floor. While putting a tray of beef liver in the display counter, he glanced at his second son. Lee’s eyes were fixed on the floor as he slowly moved the mop in a circular motion. He looked like he was a million miles away. Barry felt a tinge of guilt. He knew Lee didn’t want to be here. He was only here because of what happened to the Mercedes.

Barry straightened up and looked at the store that had been his family’s bread and butter for generations. Marvin was too talented to spend his life running the store. He would do it, if Barry asked. But Barry wasn’t going to.

Lee on the other hand was lost.

One of these days he would have to talk to Lee and maybe even let him go to Hollywood. This would mean eventually he’d have to sell Mr. T.

Barry shook the thought out of his head. He would think about it when the time came. Not today. He went back into the freezer to get more trays with meat.
